fish market, Naples

Fish market in a back street off Piazza Garibaldi, Naples. Taken January 2005. I was the only tourist in the city then as it was off peak and the city still had a bad reputation. I met a photographer on the train in who told me he's had all his gear stolen from his car the night before. I kept all my valuables close to me and watched out for the Vespa thieves who snatched your bags and sped off. The city treated me well and I've been back many times.
